About Us

Hi there!

My name is Kimberly Watson and I am the owner/operator of Build a Bow Boutique, a faith-based company that specializes in custom hairbows, embroidery, vinyl, gifts, and more. 

The idea for Build a Bow first sparked when I found out I was pregnant with our first child, Ava Raye. I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to dress her in all things girlie, (I mean, I wouldn't be a southern Mama if I felt any differently, right?) but quickly found that finding hairbows to perfectly match all of her clothes, was quite difficult. Being a crafty person my entire life, I decided to start creating my own hair candy. I almost immediately realized that I LOVED it. So on May 15, 2018, in a Days Inn hotel room, about 20 weeks pregnant, I gave birth to what is now known as Build a Bow Boutique.

After traveling full time in our fifth wheel for almost 3 years, my husband, Tyler, and I decided it was time to plant some permanent roots. We settled in Ashford, AL where my husband now services the Wiregrass building Barndominiums. Tyler and I have two daughters; Ava Raye and Laighla Drew, one son, Kamden Hayes, and and a Great Pyrenees named Luna. Family is everything to us, and ours brightens our world daily!

In addition to creating hairbows, t-shirts, necklaces, and gifts for my customers, I also thoroughly enjoy crafting on a budget and interior decorating. I share fun DIYs on my Facebook page from time to time, so be sure to follow us there too!

While I may have started Build a Bow because I loved making hairbows, I ended up discovering that PEOPLE are my true passion. I firmly believe that this business is my mission field, and I intend to use it as such.
